MALACCA CROCODILE FARM

Malacca Crocodile Farm , more commonly known as 'Taman Buaya Melaka', is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ayer Keroh, a suburb of Malacca just 10 minutes from Ayer Keroh toll plaza. Family friendly and filed with a variety of croc species, the farm is not just home to over 100 species of crocs, but it also house for 5 different attractions in the surrounding 3.5 hectare park : Malaysia in Miniature, Aviary Bird Park, Reptile House, and Water Recreation Park.

ABOUT

Malacca Crocodile Farm,  was first opened in 1987, the farm has some pretty cool species of crocodiles and alligators, ranging from an enormous American alligator, a stripy-looking spectacled caiman, and pale Indian marsh  mugger crocodiles. Featuring incredible live shows every weekend and school holidays at 11.30 a.m and 14.30 p.m, the crocodiles are all housed in manmade, swamp-like conditions similar to their natural habitat. Be sure to grab a picture during the photo taking sessions with baby crocodiles, and catch the hair-raising action of the feeding sessions on weekend at 11.00 a.m.

MORE ATTRACTIONS

One of Malacca Crocodile Farm's non-crocodile related attractions, is Malaysia in Miniature : a landscape park with lots of greenery and replicas of 13 famous Kuala Lumpur attractions. Here, you will see popular landmarks, such as Malacca A Famosa, and the Kuala Lumpur's Parliament building, but they have to share the limelight with the 'PETRONAS Twin Tower'!

This farm has its own Aviary Bird Park! Perfect for bird-watching enthusiasts, you'll get to see them fly freely among the aviary's lush greenery and also snap some funky photos of the multicoloured feathered creatures. Make a stop at the Reptile & Mamalia House, where you can see  Brazilian green iguanas, and king cobras.

WATER RECREATION PARK

Fancy a bit of splash under the sun? Then, grab your bathing suit and head to the 6,000 squarefeet Water Recreation Park. The latest addition to the Malacca Crocodile Farm, it is pretty popular, no matter what age you are. There are mushroom-shaped water curtains for toddlers, a man-made waterfall for teens, and a super cool slide and water jet tunnel.
